Jesus instructs, “Can a blind man act as a guide to a blind man?  Will they not both fall into a ditch?  A student is not above his teacher; but every student when he has finished his studies will be on a par with his teacher.”  (Lk.6:39-40) 

In this vein, the Vatican directs all parishes, “In truth, there is present in catechesis the faith of all those who believe and allow themselves to be guided by the Holy Spirit.”  (GDC para.105) 

For Catholics, then learning is life-long.

Consequently, Saint Athanasius Parish is committed to comprehensive Faith Formation founded on a life-cycle model beginning at age 3 through adulthood based on:

	Worship and prayer
	Sacraments
	Scripture
	Moral teaching

Building on these elements, each of our Faith Formation programs foster encounters with God to help children and adults make sense of their own experiences in relationship with Christ and his Church.  Therefore, all Religious education at Saint Athanasius:

	Provides experience with our Catholic community
	Is rooted in liturgical worship
	Promotes service to one another as Disciples of Christ

Creatively utilizing the most modern methods, technologies, and resources Saint Athanasius Faith Formation curriculum comprehensively embraces all aspects of parish life including:

	Faith Formation Ministries to Children and Youth
	Faith Formation Ministries to Adults
	Ministry to Persons with Special Needs
