Get Involved

Get Involved: Be a Part of the Education & Community Center!

Here's what you can do:

Be an instructor -- Do you have a talent that you would like to share?  Come be an instructor!  Call to set an appointment to brainstorm how to make your class happen.

Help in the office -- Help with many small tasks is needed on a regular basis.  If you have or don't have computer experience, we could use your assistance.  No experience necessary for most tasks!

Housekeeping -- Do you enjoy doing light housekeeping (vaccuuming, dusting, emptying cans, etc.)?  Do it in the hour that is good for you.  Patrice is in the office regularly between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm Mondays through Fridays.  Schedule a time that works for you!

Hospitality -- Are you interested in helping with events?  Help is needed with planning, set-up, help during the event, and clean-up.  No experience necessary! Set-up may or may not require moving of tables and chairs, however, other things are also required for set-up.

Crafting Group -- Even if you don't crochet or knit, you are invited to join in the fun!  We have a lot of donated yarn that can be rolled up into balls and organized by color and type.  Also, help is needed delivering the group's ministry project,"Hats for the Homeless".  If you do knit or crochet, come help us make hats if you don't already have a project of your own.  This is a very nice group of ladies that get together every other week to enjoy eachother's company.

Needle Threaders -- St. A's own sewing group, and angels for many reasons, have been in existence for many years now.  Although they work on ministry projects for the parish and are helpful in many ways, they also make items for their annual sale in the Fall to help raise funds for the Education & Community Center.  Whether you sew or not, helpers are always needed.  Fabric needs to be sorted-washed-ironed, buttons need to be sorted, seams need to be ripped out, etc.  No experience is necessary for many tasks.  This is a fine group of ladies that enjoy each other's company doing many useful things.

Take a class or attend an event -- Many classes and events are planned on a regular basis.  We're trying to keep it fresh but there are some classes and events that have been ongoing since we opened our doors in September of 2010.  Be sure to check back often, we are constantly adding new things!

Are you an entertainerWe are in need of entertainers/speakers for our Monthly Senior Lunches (held the 3rd Friday of every month) as well as our Parish Festival.  Let us know if you have a talent you're willing to share!
